What You Need To Know

Do I Have To Get Planning Permission?

Most garage conversions require planning permission and change of consent, but you should check with the local council/building control department on to verify this. Not all garages require it but if planning is required and you have started work, or even completed the works – the local authority holds you responsible – not the builder. It pays to make sure before work starts.

Building Regulation Approval is required on every conversion and again we organise this on your behalf.

How Much Will My Garage Conversion Cost?

Yes it is possible to convert one half of a double garage, so that you have a new room and still retain a single garage.

What Sort Of Heating Will I Need?

We can install traditional radiators providing your current boiler is able to cope with the additional load. Alternatively you could opt for electrical heaters, or under-floor heating. All of which can supply and install, and we can make recommendations depending on your use of the new room.

Is VAT Payable?
